The Visit Korea Committee began installing Smart Help Desks at major tourist attractions throughout the Seoul metropolitan area on June 17. The Smart Help Desks are kiosk machines capable of providing assistance in the four main languages of English, Japanese, simplified Chinese, and traditional Chinese.
Smart Help Desks are free of charge and provide users with information and directions to nearby attractions. They can also provide general information on popular attractions, shops, and festival throughout the nation. Perhaps most importantly, international taxis and hotel reservations can be made through the kiosk, as well as calls to the 1330 Korea Travel Hotline for personalized assistance.
Currently, Smart Help Desks are located at transportation hubs (Incheon International Airport, Gimpo International Airport, Seoul Express Bus Terminal, Seoul Station, etc.), tourist attractions (Seoul Trick Eye Museum, Everland, Imjingak Resort, etc.), shopping centers (Doota Duty Free, Lotte Duty Free Shop – Main Branch, etc.), hotels (Novotel Ambassador Gangnam, Seoul Garden Hotel, etc.), banks (Shinhan Bank – Myeong-dong Branch, Woori Bank – Myeong-dong Financial Center Branch, etc.), and more.
