To energize Nepalese economy to counter the impact of COVID-19, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr Yogesh Bhattarai has hinted a plan of ‘Tourism Holiday Month’ after the on-going lockdown is lifted.
The Ministry, Mr Bhattarai said, has begun consultation with private sectors on measures to counter the challenges faced tourism industry. Among numerous activities, the human resource engaged in the tourism industry could contribute to revamping the infrastructure by developing newer trails, cleaning routes and providing proper information for tourists on the route and at the destinations.
Minister Mr Bhattarai has indicated that the government is assessing the investment in tourism and measuring the indicators including human resource engaged in the industry. The government will then come up with concrete steps to revitalize the industry.
