Santo Domingo, RD.- In order to guarantee up-to-date information on the services it offers, the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and the Presidential Office of Technologies, Information and Communication OPTIC, signed an agreement that will allow users to have access to the Citizen Service Center and its line * 462.

With the agreement signed by Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García and the director of OPTIC, Armando García, where the Mitur will offer free information to the user of the more than 50 services available on the activity and tourism industry.

The Minister of Tourism, after assessing the agreement, said that it will be very useful for users and citizens seeking information on the services provided by the Mitur on the tourism industry.

“This is a way for the State to try to facilitate what has to do with the procedures, with the times, transparency and obviously all the work that Armando García has been doing, through the OPTIC, which has been extraordinary”, affirmed minister García.

Through five lines, the Mitur will provide the citizen with information on the promotion of tourist attractions both local and international, on licenses of hotel establishments, gift shops, restaurants, tourist transport, travel agencies, among others.

For his part, the director of OPTIC defined the agreement as an example of efficiency and transparency and that 76 institutions now add up to the service * 462. He expressed that he aspires to reach this year about one hundred state institutions that offer the service.
