Visit Nepal Year 2020 secretariat and Trekking Agent’s Association of Nepal (TAAN) have come up with an exciting announcement in organizing Skate Nepal, a figure skating and ice hockey performance over Gokyo lake at an altitude of 4,790 m in the Everest Region of Nepal on the 14th February 2020.
Alpine figure skaters, avid climbers, ice hockey athletes, sport trainers, film and documentary makers, some of whom are olympic gold medalists, are participating in the event.

Tourism fraternity expects that ice figure skating and ice hockey would prove to be captivating adventure tourism products for Nepal for a long time to come.
