The Government of Nepal has decided to lift the lockdown imposed due to the pandemic of Covid-19 from midnight 21st July 2020. The lockdown initially imposed from 24th March 2020 was extended numerous times.
Some major decisions announced by the council of Minister are:
- All short and long-haul transport services to resume from 22nd July.
- It also has ended the system of alternate day operation of odd and even number plated vehicles.
- GoN has lifted the system of two-shifts in the governmental offices from 22nd July. All government offices to be opened usually from 10.oo Hrs to 17.oo Hrs.
- Schools are directed to enroll students from 15th August but not the classes.
