The Government of Nepal has decided to lift the lockdown imposed due to the pandemic of Covid-19 from midnight 21st July 2020. The lockdown initially imposed from 24th March 2020 was extended numerous times.

Some major decisions announced by the council of Minister are:

  1. All short and long-haul transport services to resume from 22nd July.
  2. It also has ended the system of alternate day operation of odd and even number plated vehicles.
  3. GoN has lifted the system of two-shifts in the governmental offices from 22nd July. All government offices to be opened usually from 10.oo Hrs to 17.oo Hrs.
  4. Schools are directed to enroll students from 15th August but not the classes.
