A notice on Involuntary Ticket change Handling Rules regarding Air China-Operated New Zealand Route in their press release as :
Following the shooting incident in Christchurch, New Zealand, in order to provide better ticket service for the affected passengers, Air China has made the following arrangements for passengers flying to or from New Zealand, as follows:
Air China “999” tickets (including Non-Refundable/ Non-Rerouteable / Non-Endorsable tickets and tickets exchanged for with PhoenixMiles kilometers) on New Zealand route operated by Air China for the whole journey – tickets issued before March 15, 2019 (included) travel on New Zealand flights between March 15, 2019 (included) and March 31, 2019 (included) and with confirmed reservations on Air China -operated or codesharing New Zealand flights.
II. Rebooking or Rerouting
If a passenger requests flight change or rout change for the first time, within the validity period of the ticket, the passenger can be booked on a New Zealand Air China -operated flight that departs before April 30, 2019 (included), with no flight change handling fee charged, and the passenger can be exempted from sub-class fare differences and seasonal fare differences.
Passengers who request flight or rout change again or request change to a flight or rout that departs after May 1, 2019 (included) are subject to the conditions of use of ticket.
Passengers can also, within the validity period of the ticket, request a refund on ticket, with no refund handling fee charged.
